About Mosaic Europe
Mosaic Europe is a European social, educational and cultural initiative dedicated to bridging the gaps that leave people living “in between” languages, educational systems, cultures, borders and opportunities.
The Gap
The problem was not potential. It was access.
It was systems that assume sameness in a world that is beautifully diverse. That realization became Mosaic Europe.
OUR MISSION
Mosaic Europe empowers individuals and strengthens communities by addressing inequalities in education, culture and social care.
Education, care and stories are not luxuries — they are bridges to dignity, belonging and opportunity.
Inclusion must be intentional, and accessibility is a right.
Cultural literacy is social infrastructure, strengthening empathy, understanding and cohesion.
OUR APPROACH
Through literature, education, social care initiatives, and cross-cultural dialogue, Mosaic Europe develops practical bridges that connect people, knowledge and cultures across Europe and the Balkans.
Promoting cultural literacy, empathy and visibility across Europe and the Balkans.
Encouraging dialogue and cultural curiosity across languages, cultures and borders.
Designing practical and scalable solutions that reduce inequality while strengthening solidarity, diversity and shared responsibility.
At the Heart of Mosaic Europe
Education, care and stories are not luxuries — they are bridges to dignity and belonging.
By connecting people, knowledge and cultures, Mosaic Europe works toward a Europe where diversity is not an obstacle, but a shared strength.
OUR VISION
By 2030, Mosaic Europe aims to become a trusted platform for inclusive education, cultural exchange and social care across Europe.
We are committed to creating structural, not temporary, bridges — ensuring that diversity is a shared strength, not a barrier.
OUR WORK
Mosaic Europe begins with literature — using books, reviews and cultural dialogue to connect people, languages and communities across Europe and the Balkans.
Our first two initiatives, the European Reviews of Children’s Books and Balkan Reviews of Books, form the foundation of this work. As Mosaic Europe grows, future initiatives will extend this mission into inclusive education and social empowerment.
Meet the Founders
Mosaic Europe grew from lived experience, a commitment to inclusion, and a belief in the power of literature, education and community.
Dionysia
I am a mother, educator, and cultural mediator who grew up between languages, countries and identities. Born in Albania and raised in Greece, my life and work have spanned the Balkans, including Istanbul and Belgrade. Living between cultures was not an abstract concept for me; it was daily life — a constant negotiation of language, identity and perspective.
For over a decade, my focus has been children, education and cultural transition. I have taught in multilingual environments, supported vulnerable families through NGO work, and engaged with communities navigating migration, minority identity and social exclusion.
Mosaic Europe was not created as a project, but as a response. Through the European Reviews of Children’s Books, I curate and contextualize children’s literature from across Europe, offering educators and parents tools for cultural literacy and early empathy. Through the Balkan Reviews of Books, I work to increase visibility for contemporary Balkan voices within the broader European cultural landscape.
I believe education, care and stories are not luxuries — they are bridges to dignity and belonging.
Books build bridges.
Education sustains them.
Community strengthens them.
Mosaic Europe makes those bridges visible and accessible.
Eleni
I am an educator and cultural contributor with a background in language, education and multilingual learning environments. I am interested in literature, identity, memory, migration and the ways stories connect people across cultures and borders.
Through my work in education and literature, I have become particularly interested in how language shapes the way we understand ourselves and others.
Through Mosaic Europe, I bring together my interests in education, literature and cultural exchange, creating spaces where different stories and perspectives can meet.
Stories connect us. Education helps us understand them.
